Finally doing the last day of the edit for this week. Been a long week. Gonna be heading out to snowmass later today.

Back in Crested Butte

Finally back in Crested Butte again. A lot of editing to do tonight.

Million Dollar Highway

This highway apparently cost 1 million dollars for every mile built. Pretty sweet view from the road.

Silverton

This is the train out in Silverton. It goes between Silverton and Durango almost all week i think. Pretty cool :-)

Ouray

Kickass sunrise over the amplitheater (not spelling that right). Had to get a shot of it with the camera.

In Ouray

Just got into Ouray. This town is so cool. I'm gonna try and get some pics of the million dollar highway and the amplitheater tomorrow

Chopper shot

Hell yeah!!! That was a kickass ride. The flight for life guys keep the door open for me so i could get the best shots possible. The even did a corkscrew over base camp so i could get a 360 shot. Man that was awesome :-)

On to Crested Butte

Off to Crested Butte today. The way i get to take is pretty interesting. I take highway 133 from Carbondale over to Kebbler Pass. It's an old dirt road pass which makes it more fun. Here are some pictures from the drive. Not sure when you'll see this though. Apparently at&t went down somewhere in las vegas so they said it may be 24 hours before we get internet and cell service. We'll see soon enough.

Ride Day 1 Shooting

First day of the ride. These guys all leave at once, about 300 of them, and drive down the highway to the trails. Pretty cool sight.

Editing Morning - Day 2

Takin some time this morning to get some logging and capturing done. Helps to stay a little ahead of the game. After this then i have run back out to the ranch to shoot some more. Then tonight i need to get the first 5 min of the video complete. Love it ;-)

Shooting Day 1

Been a long day today, been shooting since 8am. Takin a load off now and about to get dinner. After thats its a long night of logging tape and editing my ass off. It's tough work but i i swear i live for this, lol

headin out to besalt now, should a nice fun busy week. i'm gonna be driving through some pretty awesome places this week so keep checkin for new photos ;-)

A Day with the Cats

Check this out. This is one of Rich's new pieces he made. He got the inspiration for it from an artist named Mihai Popa. This artist did a piece on an elephant racing grayhound dogs. Pretty awesome. Well Rich decided he wanted to do a piece like that but with big cats of the world. Pretty awesome. Have a look.

It's inspired me to do a new Motion Graphics piece along the same lines. I'm gonna keep it secret until its finished though. ; )

Long Way Down

This is so kick ass. I didn't even realize this, but Charlie Boorman and Ewan McGregor did another one! There was this show that originally aired on the BBC and then was shown on Bravo in the United States. The show was called Long Way Round. It was about Ewan and Charlie who were old friends, and bike enthusiasts that decided they wanted to ride around the world the long way round. Going east from London all the way until they got to New York. I ended up buying the DVD because the show was so good and it was what peaked my interest in wanting to try and actually start riding. After that I was fortunate to get involved with some local riders who I have been doing productions with. Lloyd who is one of the producers I work with is going to help me to actually learn how to ride, the right way, lol. I can't wait, seriously it's something lately, that I have always wanted to do. Trail riding is incredibly challenging and I think equally as rewarding. Anyway, this new show is about Charlie and Ewan riding south this time. They will start in the upper half of Scotland and ride down to Cape Town in Lower Africa. I cant wait to see it. Unfortunately I have to wait until it is realised in the US. Bummer. But it shouldn't take too long. Plus they might be airing it on BBC America. Who knows. Anyway take a look at the site and read up on the guys. Really good stuff. :)

Saw this over the weekend. Was pretty good. I swaer they were sponsored by Google though because they were advertised everywhere, but I don't mind cause I think Google rocks, lol. Pretty geeky but I don't care :)

Reel Moments

Sorry for coping out and doing just another video post, but I wanted to show other people this video. I saw when I was looking through the current.tv blog. It's a really simple video just editing together some interesting moments from the past 3 years around the world. It caught my eye just because it's so simple and slightly evocative because of that.
