One of my favorite Motion Design Companies and probably the one that gives me some of the most inspiration, came up with a new music video for "Moonlight in Glory," from David Byrne and Brian Eno's classic album My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, remastered in 2006. I had never heard this song before. Good song. Beside the point though. Jacob Trollback decided he wanted to see what it would be like to make a music video that wasn't reactive the song, but more like the creator of the music itself. Here is a link to his companies website that has the video posted. Absolutely awesome work. :)
I just bought this new online album by Saul Williams that Trent Reznor produced. It looks awesome. I get the digital download on November first. Won't get to hear til I get back from my trip but it should be really good. :)
I was able to buy this album with the itunes gift card Naeiri bought me. Really good album. His name is Common. He's a rapper that has a sort of hip-hop feel to him. I love the samples he uses in his songs. He actually had a role in the movie Smokin Aces which was done by one of my Favorite directors Joe Carnahan.
My main areas of expertise have been Motion Graphics and Design, but I have been finding a renewed passion for building my cinematography experience and quality. I'm also hoping to inspire someone else and maybe pass along some knowledge the process.
