Dream

"A dream is the experience of envisioned images, sounds, or other sensations during sleep. The events of dreams are often impossible or unlikely to occur in physical reality, and are usually outside the control of the dreamer. The exception is lucid dreaming, in which a dreamer realizes that he or she is dreaming—being sometimes even capable of changing the oneiric reality around him or her and controlling various aspects of the dream, in which the suspension of disbelief is broken.[citation needed] Dreamers may experience strong emotions while dreaming. Frightening or upsetting dreams are referred to as nightmares." ~Wikipedia.org

It's interesting how our dreams effect us. I can have some pretty vivid dreams. Sometimes that can be beneficial. Especially in my line of work. Other times it can be a big hinderence. I've always enjoyed trying to examine my dreams. You hear qoutes all the time about the meaning of dreams like, "thier the windows to our souls" and other variations. I do kind of believe this in a metaphorical sense. Its more like our unconcious mind trying to solve certain issues or troubles we have going on in our lives at that time. You should always pay attention to what your dreams are telling you. But its up to you to really figure out what it is they are actually trying to say. God that sounds sappy as hell doens't it?

I would have to say the one thing I enjoy the most is trying to explore my own mind and how my fucked brain actually works. Some would say it doesn't ; P But the journey of that is what I think is the most beneficial. I usually try to put myself into a situation that truly plays on my fears and then I try to "examine" for lack of a better word, how I react and see what i can learn. In doing this you find you can experience so much more of life that you otherwise would just let pass you by. But you can't be very choosy about what you experience. You kind of have to throw yourself into it. Otherwise your never really leaving your comfort zone and you never learn anything new.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

~Albert Einstein.

I always remember as well that through out your life you have to experience pain and suffering as well. Othewise how would you know what it truly means to have joy and happiness. Balance you know? Its the only way I feel I can live. Never shield yourself from a new experience you could have. It makes all the difference in the word. ; )
