"Peace is when entities are in harmony. In its most immediate and popular meaning, signifies the absence of hostilities. This definition of peace refers to a condition where nations or groups are not engaged in violent conflict. The conception of peace can go further to mean a relationship between parties characterized by respect, justice, and good will. Further descriptive meanings for peace include: a peace agreement, calm in the natural environment, an internal state of serenity, and silence. Since peace is a term prone to subjective viewpoints, there are many different definitions of peace." ~Wikipedia.org

His name was spike and he was part of the Colorado 500. He is 93 years old and still rides races on his motorcycle. Busy Day
Got a busy day ahead of me. Have to make a rough draft of a video by close of business today for a new campaign in the company I work for. The campaign centers on a zero tolerance policy for accidents in the work place. I work for an engineering firm that has a craft labor devision as well. So these men and women a lot of the times can be put into a position that is really dangerous if not treated with the amount of repsect it needs. So the Health and Safety Deapartment came up with this campaign to help with the motivation to keep the work place safe. My job is to make a video to be shown in the background of the presentations they give on their roadshow to the main offices we have in the U.S. Should be fun

New Wallpaper Plans
I went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science over the weekend. I went there to see the space odyssey exhibit and planetarium. It was a lot of fun. I have always been so fascinated by space and NASA. Well it gave me the idea for what I am going to do for my next wallpaper. This one I am going to be spending a lot of time on so it may take me a couple days. I am going to actually try and do some hardcore painting in it as. I'll have more on this soon. : )
Here is also a video I found on Google video about the moon landing. So awesome. : )

Heart and Spirit
This one is more like a beginning of an idea. I wouldn't really consider this one done at all. I just liked the way it started to turn out. It will most likely become something much more complicated. I just had somewhat of an idea in my head and I wanted to get it started. More on this one soon. ; )

Shaw
Work has finally started to pick back up again. I have getting some closer deadlines so that has me happy. I am working a couple of videos currently. The first is a Video for the Employee Health and Safety Department of Shaw. Its and introductory video that will be shown before their speakers talk at the luncheons and such. Another is a video for corporate to use that will have our CEO doing some talking about the company, then some Footage of shaw locations to brighten up the video. Sort of like making a commercial for shaw. The next is a new video to be used as a recruiting video for shaw. This one ws made previously, but my bosses and I have decided to update becuase it doesn't have a broad enough focus for the whole company. Love being busy. ; )

Beauty
"Beauty is a quality of a person, object, place, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, affirmation, meaning, or goodness. The subjective experience of "beauty" often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature. This leads to a psychological state of attraction and positive emotions." ~ Wikipedia.org

Adobe CS3 Icons
I wanted to blog this because it looks really cool. Adobe released the desings for the new icons that will be in CS3. They have been getting mixed reviews because of the simplicity, but I personally love them. I am all about clean simple designs and not trying to clutter a logo with over thinking. Here is a 3D flash rendering made by this person: http://theflashblog.com/?p=240 . Not sure what there name is cause I couldn't see it in thier blog.
Click the image to see the flash presentation.
Here is how the came up with the color scheme. They based the categories off the color wheel. Really thinking outside the box. : )
Here is the blog where they introduced the icons: http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/ . This guy works at adobe. Some cool info on the inner workings of the adobe products. He also gave some info that they are going to release the production studio on Mac and Windows. That is a huge milestone since Mac and Adobe have been having an issuse in that resepect concerning video editing. Mainly its been because of the competition from Final Cut Studio.
Here is how the came up with the color scheme. They based the categories off the color wheel. Really thinking outside the box. : )
Travel
"Travel is the transport of people on a trip/journey or the process or time involved in a person or object moving from one location to another. The word originates from the Middle English word travailen ("to toil"), which comes from the French word travailler ("travail")."

Jack
I just had to blog this. Rich Nortnik, a designer I work with did this piece for a competition. He has been doing alot of mentoring for me while I have been here at Shaw, and I really believe its helped me to further myself as an artist by learning from him. Rich recently sold me his WACOM tablet so I could start learning how to use that in my work as well. It enables you to draw with photoshop. Alot of designers use it and its definitely something I need to get into. Rich's work has really influenced me as well. If you look at alot of my wallpaper pieces I have been doing, you can see where I have tried to use some of the techniques he's shown me. His work is amazing and I wanted to share it. : )
New Design Concept
This is a new design concept for Jeff Ford's website. We'll see what Jeff thinks of this and if I am going to shape the website around this design. : ) More Soon. : )
Update: Jeff had a look at the design and said he loved it so I am going to call him after work today and get the rest of the details for the site content. I am giving myself a deadline for the design by Friday. I'm so motivated right now ; )
