Zen Center of Denver

I finally made it to the Zen Center of Denver last night. I didn't realize I would have such a good time. The night started out with an introduction to the "procedure" you take during the meditation. We did that for about 20 minutes. Then we joined the rest of the people upstairs in the temple area. We had seated meditation for about 20 minutes. My right leg totally feel asleep. I was hilarious. I couldn't move it at all. I almost started laughing during the meditation. But after awhile I forgot it was asleep and was able to get myself fairly relaxed. Once the seated mediation was over, we had about 10 minutes of slow walking meditation. Then once that was over we all sat in a large semi-circle and the zen master of the temple came out and had a Q&A session with everybody. That guy was awesome. : ) I've never heard someone give such unbiased answers. I learned later that he had been in a monastery for about 15 years before the temple and he also lived in a kind of halfway point of temple living and the outside world for about 10 years before that. Truly an interesting man. Just a little guy too. : ) I really had an awesome time, and I plan to go back. Unfortunately I can't go for about a week because they're going to be gone for their version of Christmas for a retreat. I recommend just going to check it out. The chanting I heard at the end when the Q&A was over was amazing. : )

Glad you took the time to go, meditation is wonderful whatever faith you chose to embrace.

: ) I agree. Does it make you feel wierd that I like Buddhism?

No I am glad that you are not so arrogant as to believe that spirituality is not a major part of everyone's life. :)
